Exciton transfer and polarized emission in colloidal quantum dot - anthracene crystals

Abstract

Here, colloidal quantum dots (QDs) are successfully incorporated into anthracene crystals. In the resulting systems of QDs-in-anthracene, exciton transfer from anthracene to QDs was observed and highly polarized emission from QDs was discovered.
