Abstract

Filter banks are used as channelizers in software defined radio handsets. They extract radio channels corresponding to different communication standards. Coefficient decimation approach is used to generate a filter bank. In coefficient decimation method a modal filter is required to be narrowband which increases the complexity. In this paper we propose use of interpolated filter for coefficient decimated II method. The use of interpolated filter reduces the order of the filter and thereby complexity by reducing a need of number of multipliers.
