Shear Strengthening with Bonded CFRP L-Shaped Plates

Abstract

In the construction industry, simple solutions for structures' strengthening are much in demand. This paper introduces carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) L-shaped plates that combine easy installation on site with the unique advantages of FRP materials. Positive features are their low weight, corrosion resistance, high strength, consistent manufacturing and predictable mechanical properties.
