Abstract

First computer research centers in the Soviet Union were established on the initiative of the greatest mathematicians of the 20th Century M. V. Keldysh and S. L. Sobolev for carrying out calculations in nuclear and rocket projects. Moscow State University is one of the founder of the development of computer technology in the USSR, and computer educational programs.
