Abstract

The worst disaster year in the state's history happened in 2008 with 82 of 92 counties receiving a Presidential declaration. " The efforts you've put forward are appreciated and the good that you've done to be able to help folks who have suffered by these disasters has been incredible, " said Joe Wainscott, executive director at IDHS. But the Indiana Department of Homeland Security (IDHS) has completed and had many more accomplishments than response to disasters. Throughout all of this, teamwork did prevail. " Teamwork really showed what we're made of, what our folks are made of, and we continue to work together, " added Wainscott.
