Motivated by this issue, a novel MIMO radar transmit beampattern design method jointly considering pulse compression is proposed. Selecting matched filter according to the mainlobe synthesized signal, the cost function is established by minimizing sidelobe level. Compared to traditional orthogonal signal processing architecture, the proposed method provides large transmit gain and improved sidelobe control. Abstract

By simultaneously transmitting multiple waveforms, multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar can obtain enhanced flexibility in transmit beampattern synthesis and signal processing.
