Abstract

Extensive theoretical investigation of open rectangular loop antenna has been carried out and presented. This antenna consists of a rectangular wire frame, which is open circuited at the mid point of one of its sides and fed from the middle of the opposite side. A monopole version of this antenna is also possible if a ground plane is positioned in the plane perpendicular, to the plane of the antenna, passing by its axis of symmetry and containing the open circuit and the feed points.
