Abstract
This paper presents the development of analytical expressions that can be used in the evaluation of non-linearity effects over the spectrum of Enhanced Sub-carrier Index Modulation (ESIM) OFDM communications systems. The non-linear channel is modeled by a Volterra Series and the ESIM-OFDM signal by a complex, cyclo-stationary gaussian random process with zero mean. The resulting mathematical expressions are applied to a specific situation, allowing a quantitative evaluation of the out-of-band spectrum regrowth of ESIM-OFDM communications systems without the need for time consuming simulations or costly experimentations.
