Abstract
Design considerations for a space qualified EPC for backward wave oscillators (carcinotrons) used in submillimeter atmospheric research heterodyne receivers are discussed. The high voltage stability requirements regarding low ripple, phase lock loop voltage feedback, EMC transparency and low high voltage energy storage impose severe constraints to the EPC designer.
