Abstract

This paper presents experimental results of breakdown voltage-time characteristics of transformer oil and three kinds of nano-oil (Fe304, TiO2, Al2O3) under lightning impulse voltage. The test results show that three kinds of nanoparticles can improve the positive breakdown performance of the transformer oil, but has little effect on the negative breakdown performance.
