Abstract
This paper presents a dual-band filtering antenna achieving a large frequency ratio of 8.2, which reveals high frequency selectivity within two operation bands and good radiation suppression at the middle band. The antenna is implemented using a square patch backed with a slotted substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) cavity. A feed network possessing the function of microwave (MW)/ millimeter-wave (MMW) signal separation is utilized to excite the radiating element. Simulated results show that the antenna can simultaneously work at 3.4GHz and the 28GHz. Besides, the out-of-band suppression is larger than 29 dB and 14.2 dB at two stop bands.
