Abstract

Data acquisition hardware plays a crucial role in the design of LabVIEW based measurement systems. The low-cost embedded design is based on the microcontroller – 89C51 and Analog to Digital Converter – ADC 0808. The design is capable of acquiring up to eight channel data and also performs the conversion of channel data into a single serial data for wireless transmission. The low-cost embedded hardware provides the flexibility of selecting the channels based on the number of measurements.
