Methodology and Algorithm for Generalization of Spatial Database Content in Digital Map Data Employing GIS Technologies to Produce 1:100 000 Scale Maps

Abstract

The article proposes a method for generalization of the contents of spatial databases of cartographic data, which is universal for the creation of topographic maps of any scale. On the basis of the developed methodology, an algorithm for the creation of topographic maps of scale 1: 100 000 was created.
