Abstract

This paper provides an introduction to the NGMN (r)evolution from an operator perspective. The highly challenging performance targets that future mobile radio systems need to satisfy are introduced and explained. It is shown which means future technologies such as LTE-A provide and how these means are beneficial in achieving the overall target of persistent customer satisfaction.
