Abstract
We report 2/spl times/2 crosspoint switches, containing passive waveguides, MMI couplers, electro-absorption modulators and semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOA) integrated monolithically using the sputtered SiO/sub 2/ quantum well intermixing technique.
