Abstract
A model was developed to estimate the theoretical limit of the power conversion efficiency of a luminescent solar concentrator device from the perspective of Shockley-Queisser limit. The modeling results indicated that the theoretical limit of the power conversion efficiency of a luminescent solar concentrator device is always lower than Shockley-Queisser limit. The types of photon energy loss were also analyzed.
