The modernization cases assume the Pressurized Heat Recovery Steam Generator (PHRSG) usage with the twostage gas turbine. The T-100 cogeneration steam turbine and the K-300 condensing steam turbine were selected as the modernization object. The modernization cases are carried out with the high-power SGT5-2000E gas turbine and low-power GT-25PA gas turbine. New combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plant construction case is considered for comparison as an example of typical Russian modernization case. The main economic efficiency indicators were considered - net present value (NPV); internal rate of return (IRR); pay-back period – simple (PP) and discounted (DPP); profitability index (PI).
