Abstract

One of the most challenging goals of SISSY (Self-improving System Integration) is to create methods for self-integrating systems to improve their integration. The purpose of this short position paper is to stimulate a community-wide discussion and eventual experimentation about what it means to measure the degree of integration between entities and then to improve or deepen integrations. To start this discussion, we first note the importance of having varying degrees and kinds of integration, and then define three ways in which an entity could improve integrations within itself and with other entities.
