Abstract

The purpose of this article is to identify the problems in the institutional environment in Armenia through an analysis of the development and trends in the quality of institutions. As a result of the research, a chronological and comparative study of Armenia's institution environment was conducted using comparable data measuring the quality of the institutes. Based on our analysis, we concluded that, in contrast to comparable countries, the quality of Armenia's institutions did not improve during its independence period.
