Abstract
The question on position of Carex doenitzii Boeck in the genus system is considered. The basic distinctive features of the species from species of the sections Podogynae Holm and Forficulae are given. Differences of the fruit epidermis ultrasculpture of С. doenitzii and species of the section Forficulae are shown. On the basis of macro- and micromorphological features considered Carex doenitzii is isolated by us from section Forficulae into a new monotypic section Eglandulosae (T V. Egorova) I. N. Schekhovtsova.
