Abstract
This paper proposes an analysis of the healing process of diabetic foot syndrome ulcers based on the correlation between Skin Galvanic Resistance and three blood factors: leukocytes, erythrocytes, and cortisol. The main objective is to observe the reduction in the wound area and relate it to the influence of skin resistance and the chosen blood elements. The experiment consisted of a randomized, double-blind clinical trial separated into two protocols groups: SUS Protocol and Rapha® Protocol. The Control Group received the SUS treatment that consisted of calcium alginate and silver foam dressing. Whereas the Experimental Group performed self-care daily utilizing the Rapha® Protocol. After obtaining the measurements, we plotted the graphs to observe the relationship of each variable. Thereby, it is noticeable that the behavior of the GSR is inversely proportional to the injury area. On the other hand, this suggests that the galvanic resistance may indicate healed skin quality, while the blood factors may impact the healing time.
