Defense plan against major disturbances of the Romanian EPS

Abstract

In order to prevent the occurrence of major disturbances or to limit their consequences in the Romanian Electric Power System (EPS) was implemented a Defense Plan that comprises a succession of hierarchical measures. These measures are chosen in relation with the nature and intensity of the disturbance and their action is to re-establish the normal operation.
