Abstract
Wireless sensor networks are currently widely used in many practical fields with high efficiency. Sensor nodes in a network can be very diverse, rich in types and have multiple modes of operation to meet the requirements of practical problems. In outdoor monitoring networks, sensor nodes are frequently able to harvest solar energy to ensure the node operation for a long time. This paper introduces solar-powered sensor nodes for outdoor monitoring operation with the ability of customizing the working schedule, which make it convenient when being used in the realization of optimized network schedule to ensure the long-term operation stability.
