Abstract

This paper describes the advanced parking assistance system developed using high accuracy position sensing. A real-time high accuracy absolute position sensing that may be used not only for parking assistance system was used as the sensing system. The main issues in implementing the assistance system are the position sensing and the human guidance through human interface. The developed positioning, human interface, and guidance schemes, simulations and experiments are presented.
