Abstract

The Carangola River is one of the main components of the river Muriaé, which is the major tributary of the lower Paraíba do Sul. In the present study, sampling was carried out every three months during one year in three sites situated upstream the town of Carangola (Minas Gerais state, Brazil) and in three sites downstream. Twenty fish species, belonging to 17 genera and 12 families, were found — fifteen species upstream and 13 downstream the town. Diversity estimates (Shannon and inverse Berger-Parker indices), based on biomass and abundance, as well as physical-chemical parameters (turbidity, CO2 concentration and pH) did not differ between upstream and downstream sites. On the other hand, bacteriological parameters (fecal and total coliform counts) were significantly different between upstream and downstream sites. These differences, however, do not seem to be affecting the distribution patterns of the fish fauna, since no significant differences in faunistic composition were detected between the surveyed sites. Keywords: Carangola River, fish, ichthyofauna, species richness, conservation.
巴西米纳斯吉拉斯州Carangola市paraiba do Sul河流域Carangola河的鱼类区系
卡安哥拉河是穆里亚河的主要组成部分之一,穆里亚河是南Paraíba河下游的主要支流。在本研究中,在一年中每三个月在卡安哥拉镇(巴西米纳斯吉拉斯州)上游的三个地点和下游的三个地点进行采样。共发现鱼类20种,隶属12科17属,其中上游15种,下游13种。基于生物量和丰度以及物理化学参数(浊度、二氧化碳浓度和pH值)的多样性估计(Shannon和逆Berger-Parker指数)在上游和下游地点之间没有差异。另一方面,细菌参数(粪便和总大肠菌群计数)在上游和下游站点之间存在显著差异。然而,这些差异似乎并没有影响鱼类区系的分布格局,因为在调查地点之间没有发现明显的区系组成差异。关键词:卡安哥拉河;鱼类;鱼系;
