Abstract

World frequently faces the seismic activities at different locations with varying intensities causing heavy damage to the property andloss of life.It is such a phenomenon which cannot be easily and perfectly predicted. Even in this era, we have lots of existing buildings which is designed only for gravity loadings. This paper represents the analyzing the vulnerable buildings which have been resulted using the rapid visual screening of an area in Nagpur (India).The capacity of buildings chosen is calculated using pushover analysis and matched with the demand spectra of that region.
