The proposed DEPL- Delay and Energy efficient Locality based routing protocol with its random behaviour not only satisfies the above mentioned goals but also focuses on improving the overall network lifetime with minimal overhead. Abstract

Cooperative Network is becoming an interesting topic in the emerging networking technologies characterized by its self-reliant behaviour. It deals with different nodes: the source nodes relay nodes and the destination node, in a resource-constrained network cooperating with each other to improve the overall network performance. Whatever the protocols for communication are used it should satisfy the basic two goals: 1) it should be able to increase communication rates across the network and 2) communication reliability in the networks should be improved. The proposed DEPL- Delay and Energy efficient Locality based routing protocol with its random behaviour not only satisfies the above mentioned goals but also focuses on improving the overall network lifetime with minimal overhead. This proposed DEPL routing protocol is proven to be efficient in comparison with the existing deterministic routing protocols.
