was adequate for degreening both cultivars. The improvement of peel color to Salustiana and Lima Sorocaba oranges was obtained after six and seven days of ethephon trataments, respectively. Immersion time of 3 minutes presented the best degreening effect. With these treatments, it was possible to improve the visual quality of the fruits. Therefore, there was added value to the product, which allows boosting sales in the market.
