With a view to making the product image design scenario and process central focuses, this paper intends to expound upon research into intelligent technology. A theoretical framework, Kansei engineering, will form the basis of discussion into the image design decision optimization system. Firstly, the key developing technologies that facilitate the use of product image design decision system are detailed, namely, computer aided design system (CAD), X reality (XR) and artificial intelligence (AI). Secondly, an application analysis of the CAD, XR and AI is made of the product image design decision optimization system, respectively. Thirdly, the effective characteristics of the product image design decision optimization system will be depicted, including intelligence, digitization, and integration within the industrial design process. Finally, the ways that product image design system can be optimized will be summarized. The future of development within the industry of product image design technology and the ways that the system can be optimized going forward will be discussed.
