Abstract

This paper examines concurrent implementations for on-line digital filtering operations. The method presented is based on linear algebraic techniques that generate linear operations with reduced complexity and high degree of parallelism. A technique to develop parallel implementations for filters described by transfer functions is proposed. The tradeoff of complexity and accuracy of the approximations is studied. The optimal allocation of hardware modules is also discussed.
