RELATIONSHIP OF KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDE OF PREGNANT MOTHERS AND HUSBAND SUPPORT FOR K4 VISIT

Abstract

K4 coverage has increased since 2010 but has not yet reached the national target of 95%. External factors are knowledge, attitude, and husband's support. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge, attitudes of pregnant women and husband's support for K4 antenatal visits. This research is analytical with a cross sectional design using primary data, namely questionnaires and secondary data from medical records for the period March - June 2017. The total sampling is 30 people. Data analysis was univariate and bivariate. The results of the study using chi-square statistical calculations obtained a significant relationship between knowledge and antenatal visits K4 (p value = 0.01 <0.05). There is a significant relationship between attitudes and antenatal visits K4 (p value = 0.005 <0.05), and there is a significant relationship between husband's support and antenatal visits K4 (p value = 0.049 <0.05). It is hoped that the Buhit Public Health Center, Pangururan District, Samosir Regency, especially midwife health workers, improve the quality and quantity of counseling programs in pregnant women classes and include husbands to support maternal pregnancies in antenatal care visits so that the minimum service standards set by the Ministry of Health are achieved.
