Abstract
This paper is intended to report the novel approach in measurement and analysis of electromagnetic interference problem in LASER system. Measurement of radiated magnetic fields around high voltage pulsed LASER source is taken systematically. Magnetic field vectors are measured at regular intervals in 3-D space.3-D magnetic field lines are obtained by interpolation and plotted for visualization. Mathematical tool utilizing the basic Maxwell's equation is used to anticipate the conduction current density magnitudes responsible for the magnetic field flux lines in 3-D volume of interest. Current density plots show and highlight significant locations contributing to EMI radiations. Signature of the radiated waveform is also recorded using oscilloscope. Near field probe set from EMCO is used for all the measurements and standard simulation code is used for systematic analytical calculation and plotting of the analysis. Details of the experiment, measurement and analysis are elaborated below.
