The increasing role of social services for senior citizens in the structure of contemporary social policy: a case study of the Kurgan region

Abstract

The article presents the main characteristics of the Kurgan region as a border region. The conclusion about the need for gerontosocial work in the region is made. The authors analyze the state of social services system for elderly citizens in the Kurgan region. More than that, its differences with the similar system in the Republic of Kazakhstan are determined.
