Towards practical education of students through local contribution

Abstract

We implemented practical education for students through the planning, design, trial production, and improvement of an innovative support product for disabled persons, based on users' requests. The results showed that the students derived real pleasure from the manufacturing process and experienced the satisfaction of personally contributing to the local community.
