Abstract

Cells are the smallest individual electrochemical unit which can deliver a voltage that depends on the chemical reactions and compounds chosen to make the cell. Primary cells are Single-use cells and secondary cells are Rechargeable cells, called batteries. The Battery packs are made up of groups of cells. Lithium-ion-battery is the cutting-edge technology for energy storage devices in electric vehicles. A Battery Management System (BMS) is responsible for constantly monitoring and managing the functionality of each single cell to keep the entire battery in optimum condition all the time.
