Abstract
The article describes the use of non-destructive method applied to measure the quality of concrete. The Air Advisory Team (AAT), in the year of 2016, was set in Iraqi Balad Air Base following the mission against ISIL. As a support for the Iraqi Air Force, which were using the Czech Aero L-159 Alca aircrafts, the AAT had to provide smooth operation of Alca fighters and moreover to train the aviation team. Based on the US-Iraq bilateral mandate, the Czech AAT, other officer stuff, and specialist were set to the insufficiently safe area with a task to design and construct their own Life Support Area (LSA). Not only the design of LSA, but also the asset of construction material, especially concrete had to be done before its use. To accomplish this task, it was created a Vulnerability Assessment Team (VAT), led by chief officer from general staff, who were responsible for improving and accomplishing the LSA project.
