Abstract

The mathematical model of uncertainty estimation in the calibration of optical tachometers is presented. Emphasis is placed on the analysis of the dominant uncertainty component, for which two mathematical models are used and compared to each other. The first model uses a mathematical expression that constitutes a discriminant and the second model is based on Monte Carlo methods. Results are displayed and analyzed for five calibration points.
