The Fields of Combat of the Power: the Dialogue Between Foucault and Raffestin

Abstract

Abstract: this article discusses the concept of power, highlighting the varied meanings that appear in dictionaries. It is also discussed how this term was approached in the work of Michel Foucault, whose studies, based on an interdisciplinary approach to research, reverberated and influenced countless scholars of the human sciences, among them the geographer Claude Raffestin. However, by addressing more tangible empirical questions, Raffestin's conception of power becomes tangible than Foucault's, insofar as it territorializes individuals and power relations.As Arenas do Poder: o diálogo entre Foucault e RaffestinResumo: este artigo discute o conceito de poder, destacando os variados sentidos que aparecem nos dicionários. Discute-se também a forma como esse termo foi abordado na obra de Michel Foucault, cujos estudos, fundamentados em uma abordagem interdisciplinar de investigação, repercutiram e influenciaram inúmeros estudiosos das ciências humanas, entre eles o geógrafo Claude Raffestin. Contudo, por tratar de questões empíricas mais tangíveis, a concepção de poder de Raffestin torna-se mais tangível do que o pensamento foucaultiano, na medida em que ele territorializa os indivíduos e as relações de poder.
