Abstract
Performance of an application has become the need of the hour. There have been lots of challenges in achieving the desired rate of throughput in terms of application tuning and database tuning. Materialized query table (MQT) is one such efficient tool used in enhancing the performance of OLTP/OLAP applications. This presentation is targeted to bring out the importance of MQT and its associated technologies used in DB2 UDB, an IBM Database Product.
