Not Playing Fair: Coverage of Women & Minorities in the Sports Pages

Abstract

This paper uses a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches to explore the representation of women, girls and other minorities, in the sports pages of a national newspaper, The Globe and Mail , a metropolitan daily, The London Free Press , and a small community weekly, the St. Marys Journal Argus .
