Simulated 3dB Axial ratio bandwidth is 16.3 MHz with 2.42dBic gain at resonant frequency i.e 2.45 GHz and axial ratio beam width 136 degree has been obtained in XZ plane for planar antenna. Abstract

Circularly Polarized Microstrip Patch Antenna with circular slot is discussed. The Circularly polarized slotted microstrip antennas (CPSMSA) with asymmetric slots at the corner and two slots near centre of patch is designed. Circular shape slots are optimized to achieve circular polarization. Maximum dip in S11 is −34.6 dB at 2.45 MHz and −10dB Return Loss Bandwidth is 97.6 MHz(approx.) for planar antenna.
