Abstract
We have developed the concept of Minimal Multi-Agent Systems (MMAS) to study the organisational dynamics of multi agent systems (MAS) at an abstract level. We have kept the model deliberately minimal to allow for the quantitative and unambiguous analysis of such systems. The system FRIENDS, which is an application of MMAS, will soon be deployed on the World Wide Web.
