The system is a host driven, multi-level network system consisting of AT89C51, HT9200A and MSM7512B, with built-in flexibility and expandability, for acquiring and transmitting data. The system can send two different kinds of information. The first kind of information comes from family gateways, including data shown on the eight meters, alarm email and urgency. The second kind comes from the system platform, including control information and notes (such as broadcasting). Through sending these two types of information, the system can function as remote meter reading, urgent alarm, urgency help, note service and remote control for each family. Abstract
