Abstract

Maulid Habsyi is very well-known in South Kalimantan. Maulid Habsyi's poems dan song complemented by rebana are performed in various religious and social events in South Kalimantan. Maulid Habsy became known to the people of Banjar in the 1990s through KH Muhammad Zaini abd al-Ghani or Guru Sekumpul. The robust charm of Guru Sekumpul and his musical abilities made Maulid Habsy fast famous and spread in South Kalimantan. The popularity of Maulid Habsy shifted the poems of Maulid Syarf al-Anam, Maulid al-Barzanji, and Maulid ad-Dibai which were previously famous by the people of Banjar.
