Abstract
Iron deficiency is one of the most common nutrient deficiencies in the world. The aim of our research was to identify the most common causes of iron deficiency anemia and the associated factors of lifestyle, dietary habits and menstrual cycle. As a result, 67% of women nearly two-thirds were anemic which is considered high for a sample randomly taken from the gynecological clinic in Tishreen university hospital.
