In this work, we propose the use of BLC for doing both decoupling antenna system and pattern reconfigurability. Simulated and measured S-parameters are presented in this paper. Abstract

A design of two elements pattern reconfigurable dual-band (2.6/3.6 GHz) and broadband Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna for excepted 5G wireless communication systems is proposed in this paper. The antenna structure is simple, compact and only occupied a small space of 18×5.5×4.5 mm3. Pattern reconfigurability is achieved by using a dual band Branch-Line Coupler (BLC).
