The data obtained with 5-20 kA power arcs applied for 1.5-0.1 sec, show acceptable arc-proofness of tested insulating boom samples and full-scale models as well as their ability to withstand nominal voltage or even switching overvoltages after such an arc, if autoreclosing occurs during live line work. Abstract
