Abstract

The 5% of the world population has a sensorial disability (visual or hearing). Movies are part of our culture and they are not being accessible for these persons. We present a low cost technology to transmit the audiodescription to the spectator's smartphone. This system also sends the subtitles (in multiple languages), and the sign language interpreter to Smartphone or augmented reality glasses. The cost is only 10% of the old systems and allows its deployment without interference. In Spain, Colombia and Brasil several theaters and VoD providers are using this system successfully since 2013.
