EUROPEAN HEALTH DATA AREA - REGULATORY MECHANISMS AND LEGAL CHALLENGES

Abstract

The aim of the study is to analyze the main ideas and trends of the European policy for creating a common space of health data, outlining its envisaged mechanisms for development and implementation with their respective guarantees for legal protection. In pursuance of the goal, the essence, tendencies and approaches for development of the European health data area are outlined, the main effects - legal, economic, systemic and technological of its existence are systematized, as well as the possible legal challenges and the need for measures for their overcoming are summarized.
