Abstract

Since the 90s, the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) have always been looking for improving the technological solutions that has been applied into the transportation. In fact, today a concept known as “disruptive innovation” has began to re-order the way that ITS services can be achieved it. Disruptive Technology means that an established technology can be displaced by innovative solutions that require less resources and can grow exponentially, very often, shaking up the economy and structure of the related businesses.
